The SRV system is based on a managing power consumption of the outdoor units of an air conditioning installation.

Depending on the energy produced by the photovoltaic field, the SRV system adjusts the cooling or heating capacity available. SRV offers when production exceeds consumption, the storage of the surplus for use in a drop in production, or night time.
The reduction in cooling capacity results in a decrease of the power available on the indoor units. SRV then lets you manage the decline of power per zone, per group or individually on each indoor unit to maintain optimal indoor conditions for each use. One can thus choose to provide the cooling capacity to units placed in special local (computer servers, in analytical laboratories). If production is not sufficient to guarantee these conditions, SRV will fetch the missing energy in the storage battery. Finally, as a last resort SRV will seek the minimum amount of energy required from the energy supplier.

SRV therefore secures the operation of air conditioning installations whatever the needs of the user.

The management of electricity grids, unidirectional from production to consumption and centralized up to now, will be distributed tomorrow and bidirectional. This is an unprecedented change in how to design and operate the network and needs to adapt.

This adaptation of the electrical system must go through the integration of new information and communications technology networks.

Smart Grids are interconnected because they incorporate features from information and communications technology. The aim is to ensure balance between supply and demand at any time with responsiveness and reliability, and optimize network operations. Making smart grids is therefore bringing solution to make them communicating.

SRV is already provided with the tools to managed and communicate with such networks. SRV express its full power management for systems connected to a network with a high penetration of intermittent renewable energy.
These non-interconnected networks are extremely sensitive to changes in photovoltaic production. Strong penetration of intermittent renewable energy undermines the security of the distribution network. A sudden drop in production may cause a local blackout, even greater, with all the consequences that may result.
To prevent such a phenomenon, SRV analysis every second production and consumption, and in case of decline of the produced solar power, SRV uses the energy stored in batteries with a very short reaction time, which can instantly level the decline in production.
